The Panacea 45th Annual Blue Crab Festival, held annually at Woolley Park on scenic Dickerson Bay, originated in 1975 to promote the crab industry in Wakulla County.
44 years later, the festival has grown in size and tradition. The festival is kicked off each year by a parade down U.S. 98 starting at 10am. Several bands and lots of fun!
The crab picking contest is Saturday at 1:30!

Panacea is a Natural North Florida community located along U.S. Highway 98, the Gulf Coastal Highway, and is approximately 40 miles south of the city of Tallahassee, the state capital. Panacea was originally known as Smith Springs until 1893 when the land around the five springs was purchased and the community was renamed Panacea, after the goddess of universal remedy, due to the supposed curative properties of the spring waters.
